Interior Design: Internet Marketing/Website Marketing/SEO

Interior Design Internet Marketing/Website Marketing/SEO

Whether you are in NYC, Boston, Atlanta, Miami or Chicago or smaller cities in the U.S. this info is applicable.

Today, 97% of consumers use the Web to find local business information. (BIA/Kelsey)

As an interior designer you are most concerned with beauty, style and harmonious relationships, I get it.  But just having a beautiful, image rich site is not enough to get traffic to your interior design website.  In fact having a lot of images can make it difficult for a Google or Bing “bot” to read what you site is about. My work can help!

I love fine design, and of course as an interior designer you need to showcase your project portfolio.   But we have to find a way to keep your projects and have the search engines understand and “read them” the way (or close) that the human eye does.  That’s part of the work I do as an SEO consultant.  My background is in fine art, I went to Pratt Institute in NYC for my foundation year and concluded with an art degree from a liberal arts college.  I got my M.F.A from Rutgers University in NJ.

Using a Google SEO tool searching locally from NYC,  I found around 2,300 total searches around the theme of interior design services– the most popular being: “interior designers nyc” with a total of 880 MONTHLY searches!  The second most popular keywords were the same but with “designer” singular.  This stat would hold with smaller numbers in your area.  These searches indicate potential clients with specific needs.  If you are not on page one or two, basically they won’t find you.

What’s the good news about getting traffic to your interior design website?

If you are in a smaller city or town it will be easier to get you on page one of Google or Bing- that would be my goal.  I do the research after consulting with you to get clear on your needs and then the process begins.  Those who you have connected with personally, via ads, word of mouth, or other marketing strategies have you business name and website address already.

SEO (search engine optimization) is about new clients finding you just when they are seeking out interior design services!

As a lifelong New Yorker, I know this is a competitive town, in fact it is the center of art, design, and media (with the exception of Hollywood for films.)  No matter where your interior design business is located- more website traffic can be attracted to your website.

Let me work with you cooperatively to get you closer to page one.  Note: no one can absolutely guarantee a search engine ranking! No one.  And especially in a given time period, as there are so many variables-some beyond your or your SEO specialists’ control.  But I know I can move you higher in rankings and get more eyeballs on your site.  Converting them to customers is your next step.  I make actionable recommendations there as well.
